The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the sale of forms for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), warning Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres against extortion and other fraudulent practices.

In a bulletin dated January 26, 2026, JAMB announced that UTME registration will run nationwide from January 26 to February 28, 2026, urging candidates to register only at JAMB-approved CBT centres and offices.

Speaking with stakeholders, JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, advised candidates to resolve all biodata issues through the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) before registration, stressing that the Board would only use data generated from NIMC.

He disclosed that Direct Entry (DE) registration will run from March 2 to April 25, 2026, with forms available only at JAMB state and zonal offices.

According to Oloyede, approved e-PIN fees are ₦5,700 for DE, ₦7,200 for UTME without mock, and ₦8,700 for UTME with mock.

JAMB also announced that the Mock UTME will hold on March 28, 2026, while the main UTME will run from April 16 to April 25, 2026.

The registrar warned that any CBT centre involved in overcharging, malpractice or fraud risks licence withdrawal and prosecution, adding that centres must comply with JAMB’s live monitoring and CCTV requirements or be barred from participation.
