Bandits Strike Again in Kajuru, Kidnap Six Residents Hours After CAN Prayers

Just hours after the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) held prayers for the safe return of 177 worshippers abducted in Kajuru Local Government Area, suspected bandits carried out another violent attack in the area, abducting six residents.
The latest incident occurred late Saturday night in Unguwar Barkono, Mararaban Kajuru, Kufana Ward.
According to local sources, gunmen stormed several homes, forcibly taking the victims to an unknown location. Residents described the attackers as heavily armed and said they fled before security forces could respond.
This fresh wave of kidnappings has deepened fears among the local population, already reeling from the recent mass abduction of worshippers from the same region. Community leaders and residents have called on both state and federal authorities to step up security measures and rescue the abductees.
The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, and the identities of the victims are currently unknown. Meanwhile, CAN has condemned the attack and reiterated its appeal for government intervention to secure the release of all kidnapped individuals in the state.
Security analysts warn that unless proactive measures are taken, such repeated abductions could escalate tensions and further destabilize the region.
