Adams Takes Over as Unity President of Rotary Club of Abuja Ministers Hill

Adams Peter Oyarekhua has been sworn in as the Unity President of the Rotary Club Abuja Minister Hill

During the handover, on Thursday in abuja Oyarekhua outlined his agenda, focusing on empowering youth through various initiatives to include Youth Empowerment, Basic Education, Infrastructure Development, aimed to make a positive impact on the communities, particularly among young people, by providing opportunities for growth and development.

As a Rotarian with a family legacy of service, Adams said he is passionate about serving humanity, saying his grandfather was a Rotarian, and this passion has been passed down through generations. 

He appreciated the outgoing president Rtn. Oro-ghene Samson Adia for his dedicated service, inspiring leadership and the extraordinary achievements of the Magic Rotary Year. 

"Together, we have touched countless lives, making a tangible difference in our adopted community by providing essential healthcare services, empowering our youth with vital tools, and expanding access to education through scholarships. Our collective efforts during the year were nothing short of magical".

He nored that the true magic of Rotary lies in our collective endeavors. It is the powerful synergy of our resources, our compassionate spirit, and our unwavering commitment that drives us. 

"I am reminded of the immense power we hold when we stand together. Our theme for this Rotary Year, and indeed for our collective efforts, is "Unite for Good."

According to him, In a world that often feels divided, the spirit of Rotary serves as a beacon of hope and collaboration. "Unite for Good" is more than just a slogan; it is our call to action. It speaks to the incredible synergy that emerges when diverse individuals, with shared values, come together to address the pressing needs of our communities.

"Whether it's providing vital health services, empowering our youth, championing education, or fostering peace, every act of service big or small, contributes to a greater good. And it is through our unity – our combined energy, resources, and unwavering commitment – that we truly amplify our impact".

"Tonight, let us embrace this theme. Let us celebrate the partnerships we forge, the friendships we strengthen, and the collective power we wield to make a tangible, positive difference. Let us continue to Unite for Good for the benefit of Abuja, Nigeria, and indeed, the world".

The outgoing president Rtn. Oro-ghene Samson Adia reflected on the club's achievements that the club's initiatives have had a significant impact on the communities 

Adia noted that the club's work has helped alleviate post-traumatic stress in the community by providing humanitarian services and support. The community's acceptance and respect for the club's work are evident in the chief's presence at the handover ceremony.

He appealed to potential donors to contribute to the club's projects, emphasizing that every small donation can make a significant difference in a child's life. 

He encouraged everyone to make donating a way of life, highlighting the impact it can have on the community.
