NDE commences training for 20 EBTS Beneficiaries in FCT

National Directorate of Employment NDE, has again commenced the trainings of another sets of 20 beneficiaries of the 2024 Environmental Beautification Training Scheme EBTS on training trades such as  POP Installation, Nursery raising, Floor and wall tiling after which they will be empowered with start up tools at the completion of the trainings, as parts of its strategies to address poverty and create job for the unemployed.

The Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo said during the flag off ceremony that these skill development initiated will create a workforce that is not only employable but also capable of driving economic stability through diverse and sustainable employment opportunities and urged the lucky beneficiaries to maximize the opportunity by paying rapt attention through out the trainings in their choice of vocations.

Representing the DG, the NDE state coordinator, Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Noble Chimereze re-emphasized the need for the trainees not to jeopardize this rare opportunity, as these skills will not only  shape their economy, but will also shape the economic landscape of the nation and enhance their global competitiveness.

Also speaking, the head of department, Special public work department of the  NDE-FCT,  Mr Hezekiah Idowu Oluwayomi said the trainees will be trained by three sets of Master Trainers for the period of three months and urged the participants to be diligent and attentive throughout the training so as to benefit from the program.

He also emphasized the importance of attendance and punctuality to the training,  informing trainees  that officers from the NDE lnspectorate  would be conducting regular on-the-spot checks at the training centers.


Appreciating the leadership of NDE, one of the beneficiaries of the program, Mr. Ralpheal Micheal who spoke on behalf of other trainees thanked NDE for the opportunity provided to them to learn these life transforming skills and promised to make good use of it to better their life and contribute to economic development of the country.
