Group Advocates Peaceful Election Devoid Of Any Irregularity

A group under the ages of Advocacy for good ethics and accountability for development, has advocated for a peaceful election devoid of any form of irregularity

The Executive director, Advocacy for good ethics and accountability for development, comrade Henry Thomas made the charge in a one day sensitization programme "titled vote in peace, theme curbing vote buying and other election irregularities a panacea to a successful 2023 election.

He Urged for a peaceful, credible, free and fair election spreads across the entire country and filtrate the minds of everyone.

According to him, once upon a time, Nigeria was amongst the most peaceful countries in the world but the story has changed over time, due to bad leadership, Religious and Ethnic sentiments.

He noted that Nigeria as a country has no business with poverty which has been the major reason for the insecurity in the country, Nigeria is a country that God has blessed with almost everything except good leadership, the political class have been very united in disuniting the citizens and the instrument for which they have successfully perpetrated this unholy act against us is, RELIGION, LANGUAGE and our ETHNICITY but most importantly Religion.

"In the subject of psychology, it is believed that when a child is born the brain is blanc that is to say that the child has no idea if he or she is a Muslim or Christian, he has no idea if he or she is Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo, but as little as the child, he knows very well that he has live in him so therefore, if only we can look at each other beyond our religion and tribe but as humans, It may interest you to know that as little as the new born child he is very much aware when he is hungry, uncomfortable, in pain and what it does at this point is to cry for the mothers attention". 

He said the future of this country is not in the hands of any political party, it is not in the hands of any individual but it is in the hands of the people of Nigeria and most importantly the electorate.

He Urged Nigerians to Vote rightfully and peacefully, they shouldn’t lose hope in the system, they shouldn’t sell vote, they shouldn’t engage in any form of violence or irregularity that may mar the success of the 2023 election.
