As people celebrate Christmas all over the world, the Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council AMAC, Christopher Zakka Maikalangu has called on residents of Abuja to reflect on the true purpose of Christmas celebration by emulating the life of Christ, love one another and promote peaceful coexistence with one another irrespective of our diversity.
He gave the call in his Christmas message to residents of the area council on sunday in Abuja.
"As we all merry today, I urge Nigerians to use this opportunity to pray for Nigeria most especially the upcoming election for God in heaven to intervene and grant us peaceful election that will usher in a more responsive government that will care for the need of the people, while also praying for unity for God in heaven to help us to get it correct.
He advised parents to bring up their children well, show them the ways of God and inculcate in them godly virtues that will also reflect on their dealings with one another, while assuring residents of government's avowed commitments to bring dividend of democracy.
