RC Gwagwalada Map Out Plans To Enhance Growth Of Rotaract, Strengthen Club In Gwagwalada

President Rotary Club of Gwagwalada, Rtn Ayodele  Kehinde Steven upon his investiture as the new president of rotary club Gwagwalada has mapped out plans to improve quality membership of the club for the hopeful year 2023/2024 .

Steven made this known during his budget presentation for the 2023/2024 hopeful year that there is much need for Rotary Club Gwagwalada to take more seriously the Rotaracts growth.
He said he has decided to target the university of Abuja and of course the FCT School of Nursing at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital considering the facts that, these students, boys and girls have quality members of these immediate environments either as family members, brothers and friends.

"My presidency has decided to see these targeted group of people as catalyst for effective growth while still sustaining these Rotaracts on their own base at the Rotaracts Club of University of Abuja Gwagwalada".

While promising to support the teaming undergraduates of the University of Abuja on survival techniques taking advantages of ample opportunities in both local and export Agro-productions / businesses to embark and engage in profitable agricultural businesses.

In enhancing the economic and community development of the club, the president reiterated commitment to take very seriously the Club Development and youth engagements by paying very serious attention to the Interact Club at the School for the Gifted Gwagwalada, fellowship with them in their school, increasing their numbers, provide graduating farewell to graduating students and providing required care for those remaining in the academic environment. Cost for this task is invaluable.


He presented life transforming project proposals for the 2023/2024 hopeful year, such as training of 10 Teachers of 5 public Schools in Gwagwaglada on modern teaching techniques and equipping same with teaching aids to further train other teachers for benefits of targeted over 2000 students in public schools in Gwagwalada at the cost of N1,000,000

In addition the club shall distributes branded Rotary exercise books in 5 public schools within Gwagwalada, FCT at the cost of N1,000,000, intervene in School uniforms for identified school pupils who are unable to replace or purchase required school uniform kits within Gwagwalada FCT at the cost of N900,000.00.

He however assured that water sanitation will not be left out as the club planned to visit Nigeria Correctional Service Custodial Farm Centre in Dukpa, Gwagwalada to donate basic sanitary materials like bathing and washing soaps, toothpaste, Vaseline, detergents, bathroom slippers, disinfectants etc to inmates of the facility at the targeted cost of N200,000.00.

Sinking of borehole, installation with solar panel powering at Gwarko community of Gwagwalada FCT at the cost of N2,000,000 only and the Provision of sanitary materials, waste bins and other tools to University of Abuja Teaching Hospital wards and corridors, University of Abuja permanent site boys and girls hostel, the Senate Building, Nigerian Customs Regional Training Center, Nigeria Immigration passports office Gwagwalada and 176 Guards Battalion Dukpa, Gwagwalada at the cost of N1,000,000 amongst others.
