NDE-FCT Flags Off Orientation For 30 Trainees Of CBTS In Abuja

As the Nigerian governments consistently sought to foster a vibrant entrepreneurial development in the country to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths and generate wealth to address the economic challenges facing the country, the National Directorate of Employment NDE- FCT has again flagged off the orientation of 30 trainees for the Community Based Training Scheme CBTS of its Vocational Skill Development Department, Wednesday in Abuja .
The Director General of NDE, Mallam Nuhu Fikpo ably represented by Hajia Aisha Badamasi said the directorate is continually providing trainings that will facilitates the establishment of micro-businesses as a means of job creation, and this time NDE-FCT is training 30 women on catering skill which is expected to empower these women to become economic self reliant, create wealth and contribute to the economic development of the country, and charged participants, to be diligent, and behave well throughout the period of the training so that they can get the best from the program.
In the same vein the State Coordinator NDE-FCT, Mr. Chimereze Noble advised the participants not to take the opportunity for granted but should see it as a rare opportunity that must be diligently harnessed to better their lives and that of the people around them.
Speaking further, the HOD Vocational Skill Development Department of the NDE-FCT, Grinter Adika gave a breakdown of the participants, saying 5 persons were selected from each of the 6 Area Councils of the FCT to aggregate for the 30 participants in all. Adding that the training will last for a period of 3 months after which the beneficiaries would be empowered to startup their own micro-business and advised participants to be serious.
Responding, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Sandra Abure thanked the NDE for deeming fit to organize such a life transforming training for them and promised on behalf of the 30 beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity while soliciting for baking utensils from the government.
